Steve Alley
Managing Partner
In 2015, Steve became managing partner and owner of EAC & Associates after an extensive career in the community foundation sector. Under his leadership, EAC has expanded its areas of expertise and consultancy and continues to innovate and lead the field in addressing the important issues of today.
Prior to joining EAC, Steve spent nine years as president and CEO of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, spearheading that foundation’s growth from $53 million to $90 million in assets, and developing a significant leadership role in Tucson and the surrounding counties. Prior to that, he was director of the Community Foundations Institute of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, and vice president for development at the Central Indiana Community Foundation—one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the nation. He also served as founding president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Howard County, a startup community foundation in rural Indiana.
Steve holds a communications degree from Ball State University and began his career in radio as a reporter, anchor, and news director.
He continues to serve in numerous national and regional leadership roles in the community foundation field, including as a past participant in the Transatlantic Community Foundation network and the U.S./Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership. He was a member of the Community Foundations Leadership Team, the 2006 chair of the Council on Foundations Annual Community Foundation Conference, founding chairman (1995-1998) of the Indiana Community Foundation Committee of the Indiana Donors Alliance, member (1995-2001) of the Indiana Community Foundation Committee of the Indiana Grantmakers Alliance, chair of the Professional Development Action Team with the Council on Foundations, and member (1997) of the Council on Foundations Annual Community Foundation Conference.
